<p>PURPOSE:To absorb ball hitting time impact by a shock absorbing member, and reduce the impact transmitted to a shaft from a head body by interposing the shock absorbing member of synthetic resin between the shaft and respective shaft support parts respectively arranged on the top part side and the sole part side of the head body. CONSTITUTION:In a head body 21 whose hollow outer shell is molded by metal such as stainless steel, titanium or aluminium alloy, a filling member 23 such as foaming synthetic resin is filled inside of it, and shaft support parts 31 and 33 to support a shaft 29 are respectively arranged in a top part 25 and a sole part 27 on the heel side of a head body 21. When this shaft 29 is inserted in a shaft inserting hole 35, the inserting side end part is fitted in a shaft fitting recessed part 39. In this case, a shock absorbing member 43 composed of soft synthetic resin is installed on the whole circumference of the inserting end part side of the shaft 29 as if being in the shape of a hosel, and the shaft 29 is supported at two points with the respective shaft support parts 31 and 33 through this shock absorbing member 43.</p> |
