<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a printer preventing a temperature increase in the device while making especially a power source module small in size and preventing a rise in the cost of the device. CONSTITUTION:A positive characteristic thermistor 14 is provided in a power supply circuit to a driver 11 driving LED elements 12. If a large supply current I flows when the LED element 12 is driven in accordance with a video signal (VIDEO) supplied through a shift register 8, a latch circuit 9, and an AND gate 10, the thermistor 14 restricts the supply current I for driving the LED element 12 by a power source of a small capacity. Namely, when a large supply current I flows to the thermistor 14, the thermistor 14 is raised in temperature and increased in resistance value, thereby limiting the supply current I and driving the LED element 12 by a power source of a small capacity. Therefore, a power source module putting out the supply current I to an LED head can be reduced in size.</p> |
