The heat exchanger, comprising a series of tubes (12) and a metal manifold (18) connecting their ends and equipped with a water tank (24), has a fixing for the fins (14) carried by the tubes to prevent relative movement, especially torsion, between the tubes and the manifold. The fixing is in the form of plates (36) made in one piece with the manifold, extending parallel to the tubes and bent over to engage with a given number of the fins. The plates are bent to form a generally U-shaped cross-section, and they have slightly open edges to avoid damage to the fins; they can be made from a separate sheet of metal, cut out and bent to shape. |
