摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmission error resistance by an adaptive coefficient controlled by a function for inputting a decoded vector stored in a decoded vector storage part and a centroid stored in a vector codebook. SOLUTION: At an adaptive coefficient calculation part 12, the adaptive coefficient is found while using the centroid stored in a vector codebook 13 and the decoded vector stored in a decoded vector storage part 14. Next, a quantizing object vector 10, the centroid stored in the vector codebook 13 and the decoded vector stored in the decoded vector storage part 14 are inputted to a distance calculation part 11. Further, a distance is calculated while using the adaptive coefficient calculated at the adaptive coefficient calculation part 12, this distance is compared at a comparator part 15, and a centroid number having the shortest distance is defined as a code 16 of the vector. By using the adaptive coefficient calculated at an adaptive coefficient recalculation part 17 while referring to this code 16 of the vector, transmission error resistance can be improved.
