PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device to make high frequency lighting of a discharge lamp, in which a malfunction is prevented such as to output an abnormality sensing signal in association with changing input voltage of a high frequency conversion part or a changing duty of a switching element. SOLUTION: An inverter circuit converts the voltage obtained by rectifying AC power v1 into high frequency v3 and supplies it to a discharge lamp LAMP, and the voltage V4 in the DC separation part 6 of the inverter circuit is sensed and compared with the reference voltage V6 so that any abnormality in the discharge lamp is sensed. In this discharge lamp lighting device, a means is furnished to correct the change in the output voltage V5 of the sensing part 7 relative to the voltage change in the DC separation part 6 if the discharge lamp operates normally. |
