PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize Mytilus edulis as a formula feed for cultured fishes. SOLUTION: This formula feed for cultured fishes contains >=5% (expressed in terms of a dry material) of Mytilus edulis as an edible part in a fish meal, a soybean cake, a feed oil, etc. The feeding of the fishes including a bastard halibut is stimulated to increase the intake and resultantly improve the growth thereof by adding the Mytilus edulis into the feed. The effective utilization of the Mytilis edulis, developing in a large amount in a power station, an embankment, etc., and usually disposed of as an industrial waste can be carried out. |
