PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten reliability of communication by permitting a medicinal solution injection device in response to an installation completion notice of an adapter for communication and then permitting transmit/receive operation in the case of connecting the medicinal solution injection device to a main control part through a communication adapter to transmit and receive setting according to the condition of a patient and a use history. SOLUTION: A medicinal solution injection device 1 formed storeable in a breast pocket of clothing of a patient is formed by a medicinal solution cartridge 31 having a bag for holding a medicinal solution M, a fluid control device 21 for controlling the flow of the medicinal, and a flow control unit 11 provided with a pair of switches on the front. The flow control unit 11 incorporates an optical communication function, thereby transmitting and receiving designated data in setting an injection device 1 with a connector C2 of the flow control device 21 connected to the flow control unit 11 in a communication adapter 60 connected to an external programming device 41 such as a personal computer or the like through an interface cable 20.
