In displaying a moving picture with a small number of frames, the motion becomes discontinuous and unnatural. A series of motions are classified into small segments D1 and D2 in accordance with the type of motion, and first frames D1S and D2S and last frames D1E and D2E of the respective small segments are displayed without any omission.
