PURPOSE: A method for authenticating users in a server client system is provided to generate authentication codes as regular time units in the server client system to inform a user of an authentication code when the user connects with the system, and to make the user input an ID and a password corresponding to the authentication code to remove the authentication, and to remove the authentication code to authenticate the user by referring to a database of the system, so as to transmit changed information to a snooping program to protect the ID and the password. CONSTITUTION: If a client(10) user requests an authentication to use a resource of a server(20), the server randomly generates an authentication code and sets up a number and an available time relating to the authentication code. The server supplies an authentication form to the client. The client user processes information necessary for the authentication according to the authentication code, and transmits the processed information to the server. The server decodes the information to an authentication code used by the client, and connects with a database(30) by the decoded information. The server decides whether the information is available, and authenticates the client user.
