<p>The invention relates to a process and a device for separating zinc and/or cadmium and lead out of a waste or by-product which is contaminated with these elements and/or compounds and is formed in metal production. For this purpose, the invention provides for reducing conditions to be created in a process step for metal separation in a treatment vessel, and for the by-product and/or waste to be introduced into this vessel and heated to at least 700 Degree C, and for the compounds of the contaminating metals which are present in the charge to be metallized, evaporated, reoxidized and filtered out so as to form a concentrate, after which, in a process step for producing metal, the residual metals of the waste are utilized in the metal-smelting process.</p> |
