The present invention relates to a frame for canvas, of the type used by painters as a frame for his canvas during the painting procedures. It is constituted by corner elements (1) with spigots (3) prepared to enter adjusted in the hollow of the lateral rods (9), for the canvas being layered in the trapezoidal re-entry (6) and fixed in with the help of the fit in wedges (14) (15) fitted by pressure in the re-entry mentioned (6) and the canvas being stretched by separation with adequate tools of the corner element (7) and the use of the fixing and adjusting element (16). It provides also the use of a holder elements (10) of stabilising crossbars (17) which allows the uneven crossing. This invention don't uses tacks or staples to fix the canvas and allows the easy transport, dismounting and remounting without damaging the canvas.
