<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method reducing the manufacturing cost by relieving a load on a data bus at a transfer of image data without reducing the accuracy for detection of a scene change. <P>SOLUTION: A scene change detection section 11 receives data of a picture 21 of a detection object and data of a picture 22 just before the picture 21 by interleaving pixels, and detects a scene change on the basis of a difference of the data between the picture 21 of the detection object and the picture 22 just before the detection object. A transfer control section 14 reads data of a pixel group comprising a prescribed number of pixels adjacent to each other in a horizontal direction in the pictures from a storage device 12 at an interval, and transfers the read data to the scene change detection section 11 through the data bus 13 as its control. In this case, the number of pixels p included in the pixel group is selected to be a maximum transferable number in the data bus 13 determined depending on the bus width or a number being an integer multiple of the maximum transferable number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
