<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image forming apparatus compact by bending circumference of a bottom section, thereby forming mounting edges on the sides of the bottom section, and by mounting a pair of side plates to the mounting edges from the direction of the sides. <P>SOLUTION: The frame structure has a base plate 70 and the pair of side plates 72 and 73. The base plate 70 has the bottom section 70a and the mounting edges 70b formed by drawing the edges of circumference of the bottom section 70a in the downward direction.
