PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EDI operation method and an EDI device surely suppressing generation of scale in a condensation chamber even in a long continuous operation. SOLUTION: This electric deionized water manufacturing apparatus has a desalting chamber with a positive electrode side partitioned by an anion exchange membrane and a negative electrode side partitioned by a cation exchange membrane, and the condensation chamber with the positive electrode side partitioned by the cation exchange membrane and the negative electrode side partitioned by the anion exchange membrane, between a positive electrode chamber having the positive electrode and a negative chamber having the negative electrode.
