A device for demagnetization of the pulp of ferromagnetic materials contains a power source, a capacitor, a coil of demagnetization, commutating elements, for example, diode and thyristors, and a control unit for them. The coil and capacitor are connected through parallel-connected thyristor and diode and form an oscillatory circuit connected to the power system of industrial frequency through the second thyristor and the throttle series-connected with it, and the control unit commutates the thyristors in different half-periods of the power system.
