<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve high-speed recording characteristics by recording light of a wavelength ≤700 nm. <P>SOLUTION: Sensitivity is improved by an optical recording medium characterized in that a recording layer has the maximum absorption wavelength in the range of the wavelength λ=61z±z nm (in this case, z=the integer of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5), in the optical recording medium having the recording layer including light absorptive pigments on a substrate, the optical recording medium characterized in that the recording layer has the maximum absorption wavelength in the range of the wavelength λ=61z±z nm (in this case, z=the integer of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) or in the optical recording medium having the recording layer including two or more kinds of light absorptive pigments of the different maximum absorption wavelengths on the substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
