<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate need for previously setting engine information for respective output devices on a second server device-side and to perform a status acquirement processing of the respective output devices in a real time basis. <P>SOLUTION: On a protocol conversion server 100 side, a protocol A receives a printing job from a RIP server 1 and it is converted into a printing job of a protocol B so as to return it. On a RIP server 1 side, the printing job converted into a data format of the protocol B is received from a protocol conversion server 100. Engine information is added to printing data in a page unit, which is converted into a raster image.
