DETAILED DESCRIPION - The marine anchor is driven vertically into a mooring bed(10) by an elongate follower (13). The follower has a bottom clevis part (103) which has been adapted to hold the anchor (1) via the anchor shank (2). When the anchor is embedded to a preferred depth, the anchor is moved into position by pulling the on the anchor cable (4/4a) which causes the shear pin to fracture and the anchor to rotate until arrest by a stop on the follower.
