PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hub unit with a cap easily mounted to an outer ring opening and having good sealing performance in the mounted state. SOLUTION: The hub unit 1 is provided with an outer ring 2, a hub wheel 3, an inner ring 4 and rolling element rows 5, 5. A cap part 100 has a cap body 101, a cap flange 102 and a fitting part 103. The fitting part 103 includes an outer diameter maximum part 103a in the axial central position and has a shape swollen outwardly in the radial direction such that the outer diameter in the outer diameter maximum part 103a becomes larger than the inner diameter of the outer ring opening 21h and that the outer diameter in an axial tip face position 103b becomes smaller than the inner diameter of the outer ring opening 21h.
