PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain an optimal combined electric power even if both phase shift and level difference occur. SOLUTION: The electric power combining amplifier where an input signal is branched by an input hybrid 2, branched input signals are amplified, respectively, by a plurality of amplifiers 4a and 4b, and the outputs from the amplifiers 4a and 4b are combined by an output hybrid 6 comprises a section 10 for detecting the levels of output signals from the amplifiers 4a and 4b and correcting the level difference of the input signals to the amplifiers 4a and 4b based on the detected levels, and a section 8 for correcting the phase difference of the input signals to the amplifiers 4a and 4b based on an unbalance electric power outputted from the output hybrid 6. The level correcting section 10 can suppress loss of combined electric power caused by the level difference of the input signal to the output hybrid 6, and the phase correcting section 8 can suppress loss of combined electric power caused by the phase shift of the input signal to the output hybrid 6.
