PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic storage in which the value of read-out current is optimized while taking account of variation in characteristics of a TMR element. SOLUTION: The magnetic storage comprises a plurality of TMR elements where the average current of switching currents is I<SB>SW</SB>(Av) and its standard deviation isσand reads out the information of the TMR element by feeding a predetermined read-out current to the TMR element. In the TMR element assumed to have a switching current of I<SB>SW</SB>(Av), the value of I<SB>read</SB>defined by formula: I<SB>read</SB>≤I<SB>cell</SB>-1/2*γ*σ<SP>2</SP>(in the formula,γrepresentsΔ/I<SB>SW</SB>(Av),Δrepresents KV/k<SB>B</SB>T) is employed as the value of read-out current for the temporary read-out current I<SB>cell</SB>when the inversion possibility P of the TMR element has a predetermined value.
