A PMG(Permanent Magnet Generator) pilot exciter is provided to simplify assembly by reducing the number of components and to improve performance by forming a rotor spider and a spider hub with a non-magnetic material. A PMG pilot exciter(200) includes a rotor(220). The rotor includes a spider hub(221), a rotor spider(222), and a plurality of permanent magnets(223). The spider hub is fixedly coupled to an end of a generator axis(110). The rotor spider is positioned outside the spider hub. The plurality of permanent magnets are radially installed with respect to the spider hub and generate magnetic flux. The spider hub connected to the generator axis is made of a non-magnetic material.
