[PROBLEMS] To provide a voice recognition system which can rapidly perform a recognition process while maintaining the voice recognition quality of a voice recognition device. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A voice recognition system includes: a voice input device (10) which inputs a voice and displays the recognition result; and a voice recognition device (20) which acquires the voice from the voice input device (10), performs the recognition process on the voice, and sends the recognition result to the voice input device (10). The voice input device (10) has a user dictionary unit (12) containing words used for recognizing the input voice and reduced user dictionary creation means (13) which extracts a word corresponding to the input voice from the user dictionary unit (12) to create a reduced user dictionary. The voice recognition device (20) has voice recognition means (22) which inputs the input voice and the reduced user dictionary from the voice input device (10) and recognizes the input voice according to the reduced user dictionary and a system dictionary prepared in advance.
