PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out magnitude of impact while buffering the impact when detecting excessive impact. SOLUTION: A detecting means for detecting excessive impact is set at a stopper 24 which controls the top dead point in the working range of a spindle 22 to find out magnitude of the impact by the detecting means while giving a function of buffering the impact to this detecting means. The stopper 24 is arranged at the lower end part of a system 23 or just above a gauge head 25.
