The sound wall has building blocks (2) stacked with respect to each other. The blocks form a mesh structure core (5) that includes a mesh structure on two opposite sides of a layer of plating material (6) made of polypropylene and includes another mesh structure partially filled with filling material to reinforce the sound wall. The mesh structure of the side plating material is same as the mesh structure of the core of a brick, where the mesh structure of the brick is made of plastic and polypropylene. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a sound wall.
