A washing machine is provided to shorten energy to wash and prevent water waste by reducing the concentrate of residual detergent determining the number of rinse cycle. A washing machine comprises a washing tub. The washing tub comprises a residual detergent measuring device for measuring the amount of residual detergent in washing water. The washing tub additionally washes when the amount of the residual detergent is more than standard amount. The washing tub drains washing water and finishes the washing process in case that the amount of residual detergent is less than standard amount.
