A method and a system for providing a stereophonic sound playback service are provided to effectively play back a stereophonic sound by using terminals. A media processing server(120) stores sound information per channels. A plurality of terminals(140) has one or more sound output units. The media processing server receives location information of the terminals and location information of a listener. The media processing server outputs the sound information per channels to the terminals respectively based on relative location information between the terminals and the listener.
