The present invention relates to a novel metallocene compound, a catalyst composition containing the same, and a method for preparing a polyolefin using the same. The metallocene compound and the catalyst composition containing the same according to the present invention can be used at the time of preparing a polyolefin, and can prepare a polyolefin with excellent polymerizability and an ultrahigh molecular weight. Especially, the use of the metallocene compound according to the present invention shows a high polymerization activity even when supported on a carrier, and allows the preparation of an ultrahigh molecular-weight olefin-based polymer.
