PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve settlement within a short time even when money is input to an electronic money card in the case of settlement in a POS register.SOLUTION: A POS register includes clerk operation reception means for receiving operations carried out by a clerk including an operation concerning commodity registration, customer operation reception means for receiving operations carried out by a customer including an operation concerning settlement of the registered commodities, and electronic money storage medium corresponding processing means for executing, when the customer operation reception means receives the operation of instructing processing concerning the credit balance management of the electronic money storage medium before a customer transaction corresponding to the registration of commodities received by the customer operation reception means is completed, processing in the electronic money storage medium according to the instruction received by the customer operation reception means via communication with the electronic money storage medium via a reader/writer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
