PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technoligy of allowing an information processing apparatus to provide a service to a plurality of mobile terminal devices simultaneously, by use of short-range radio communication.SOLUTION: A CPU of an information processing apparatus (MFP) performs communication control for receiving an ADV (advertisement) packet transmitted from a mobile terminal, while periodically transmitting an ADV packet including service information provided by the MFP, in conformity to BLE standard (S101, S102). Every time the MFP detects a specified ADV packet as a device on the other end of the BLE communication (S108, S112), the CPU performs communication control for transmitting a connection request to the mobile terminal having transmitted the ADV packet, as a response to the detected ADV packet (S110, S112).
