PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely control power-on of an information processing device without providing a dedicated notification line.SOLUTION: An external device is provided which includes: an output unit that outputs power-on information of an apparatus connected to an information processing device in response to power-on of the apparatus; and a power-on notification unit that obtains the power-on information of the apparatus via a notification line in a cable, and notifies the information processing device of the power-on of the apparatus on the basis of the power-on information of the apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
