PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end grinding apparatus for round-bar steel which can efficiently grind a round-bar steel and can suppress generation of damage of the round-bar steel.SOLUTION: The end grinding apparatus for round-bar steel is provided that comprises a transportation device 11 which transports a round-bar steel A in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the round-bar steel, a grinding device 12 which has a grind stone 24 arranged at one direction side of the longitudinal direction of the round-bar steel A transported by the transportation device 11, a plurality of lower rollers 13 which are arranged side by side along the longitudinal direction of the round-bar steel A transported by the transportation device 11 and support the round-bar steel A from below, an upper roller 14 which is arranged above the round-bar steel A supported by the lower rollers 13 and presses the round-bar steel A on the lower rollers 13 from above. Each of the lower rollers 13 is rotationally driven around an axis inclining against the longitudinal direction so that the end of the round-bar steel A is pressed to the grind stone 24 while the round-bar steel A autorotates, and the upper roller 14 is provided as freely-rotatable around an axis inclining to the opposite side against the rotation axes of the lower rollers 13 with respect to the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
