PURPOSE:To synthetically detect the detachment and erroneous connection of a connector, by constituting a route making a round by one or two core wires in the multi-core cable connected to a printed circuit board and transmitting a pulse signal onto said route. CONSTITUTION:Cables 101-105 are connected to the connectors 10-15 of printed circuit boards 1, 2 and one or two of said cables 101-105 is connected by the wirings 102, 104 of the boards 1, 2 to constitute a round route issued from the board 1 and returned thereto. A self-exciting oscillator 19 and a comparator 20 are provided to the board 1 and the oscillator 19 is operated at the time of testing. When all of cables 101-105 are connected accurately, a comparing output 108 is almost '1' because signals 100, 107 are almost the same phase and a display device 21 always lights. When there is detachment or erroneous connection, the display device 21 is put ON and OFF.
