The principle of the automatic stepping device consists in the fact that in the frame (2), in the hole between two sliding guides, there is a bar (4), which is equipped with an indexing element (5), corresponding with indexing holes (6) of a transported object (7). On the frame (2) there is a revoltingly arranged suspended stopping lever (14), corresponding with a stop piece (16), and a lever (24) revoltingly arranged on the frame (2). In the lever (14) there is a revoltingly arranged suspended stopping element (18), corresponding to an upper stop (20) and a lower stop (21), mounted on the frame (2), and with stopping holes (22) formed in the transported object (7). Opposite the bar there is a lever, on which there is revoltingly arranged control lever connected with a control cylinder (8).<IMAGE>
