PURPOSE:To position a developer carrying means with a high precision by bringing axially supporting parts, which axially support the developer carrying means, into contact with a guide member, which guides a photosensitive body like an endless belt, to position the developer carrying means to the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A control part to control the position of a photosensitive body 1 is provided on the outside of a guide means 9, which is placed on the opposite side to a developer carrying means 41 of the photosensitive body 1 and is wider than the photosensitive body 1 and guides the photosensitive body 1 while coming into contact with it, in the axial direction of the photosensitive body 1. Axially supporting parts 55A of the developer carrying means 41 are brought into contact with the guide means 9 in the vicinity of the photosensitive body position control part to position the developer carrying means 41 to the photosensitive body 1. Thus, positional relations between the photosensitive body 1 like an endless belt and the developer carrying means 41 are accurately and easily set to always obtain a satisfactory visible image. |
