The water raising is carried out by an Archimedes screw (4) driven by a water turbine (1). A water bucket chain plant is used instead of a conventional water wheel. The water supply and pumping station is mounted on a special ship. ADVANTAGE - Gives improved efficiency by using wt. of water-filled buckets.
