PURPOSE:To enhance manufacturing economical efficiency, in an instrument panel wherein a foamable resin is foamed to integrally form an elastic pad layer on a core material, by providing an instrument panel part where the foamable resin is not partially foamed and providing the opening part for mounting the air bag of an assistant seat to this part. CONSTITUTION:A foaming mold for producing an instrument panel for mounting an air bag device is prepared and, after a core material 2 and a skin 4 are set to the foaming mold, a foamable molding resin is injected in the space between the core material 2 and the skin 4 and, after the mold is closed, the foamable resin is foamed. By this constitution, the instrument panel wherein an elastic pad layer 3 is not molded at the air bag expanding window molding part 5 of the air bag device is formed. The instrument panel is cut along a dotted line part in secondary processing to open the molding part 5 to form an air bag expanding window. By changing the foaming mold, the instrument panel not mounting the air bag device is produced. |
