PURPOSE:To reproduce only a required color by simple processing by a small amt. of known data without using a large amt. of data or performing data processing on the large amt. of data. CONSTITUTION:Relation between 125 kinds of color data and data of three stimulus values is found (step 100) by inputting 125 kinds of color data to a color copying machine and finding the three stimulus values of the colors outputted correspondingly. The correspondence between interpolation points among input color data and the data of three stimulus values corresponding to the interpolation points is found (step 200) by interpolation based on the relation between found color data and the data of three stimulus values. When it is desired to output a color by reproducing the desired color, the three stimulus values the same as or nearest to the one that is an output value equivalent to the color are selected, and the color data corresponding to the selected three stimulus values are found, and they are set as input values (step 300). |
