PURPOSE:To obtain a gear oil composition for automobiles capable of commonly lubricating a manual transmission and LSD-mounted reduction gear improved in extreme-pressure property, abrasion resistance, synchronous characteristics, oxidation stability and LSD performance. CONSTITUTION:This gear oil composition for automobile contains one or more kinds of oils selected from mineral oils and synthetic oils and used as base oils, (A) 5-15wt.% of a sulfur-phosphorus-based extreme-pressure agent, (B) 0.5-10wt.% of an alkali metal borate hydrate and (C) 0.1-5wt.% of an alkaline earth metal type cleaning and dispersing agent or these components and (D) 0.05-5wt.% of one or more kinds of compound selected from saturated or unsaturated 7-30C aliphatic carboxylic acids or aromatic carboxylic acids, esters of these carboxylic acids and raction products of these carboxylic acids and organic amines. |
