摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce consumption of a battery being a power supply to a communication equipment by temporarily turning off the power supply of the equipment main body when a state of the radio communication equipment resident on the outside of a zone is consecutive. SOLUTION: When a control section 2 discriminates it that the equipment is on the outside of a zone based on a reception signal 11 from a reception section 1, a repetitive number of times N1 for channel scanning and an operating time T1 are set to conduct channel scanning and when a time T1 elapses without receiving a radio wave from a base station, a reception section power supply OFF consecutive time T2 is set and the power supply of the reception section is interrupted. When the time T2 elapses in this state, the power supply of the reception section is activated and the value of number of times N1 is decreased by 1. When the N1 reaches zero by repeating the operation, an equipment main body power supply OFF consecutive time T3 is set and then the control section 2 instructs OFF of the equipment main body power supply to an equipment power supply control section 4 with a control signal 12. When the equipment power supply control section 4 sends the control section 14 to an equipment power supply section 7, the power supply to the equipment main body is immediately interrupted and when a time T3 elapses, the power supply to the equipment main body is again activated.
