PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composite interlaced yarn hardly causing cut nap and escape of twist in a not untwisted state, capable of providing high drape, excellent resilience, and soft and peach-skin like feeling to a textile by doubling each specific yarn A and yarn B and applying an interlacing treatment to the doubled yarns. SOLUTION: A polyester highly oriented undrawn yarn 1 having 20×10<-3> to 80×10<-3> birefringenceΔn and <=1 d single filament size is subjected to a shrinking heat treatment by using a noncontact type heater 4, and the treated yarn is subjected to a cold drawing of e, drawing ratio (times) of 0.80(1+/100) to 1.30(1+X/100) [X is a shrinkage (%) at the shrinking heat treatment]. The drawn yarn is subjected to rotating heat treatment at the heat treating time S (sec.) and heat treating temperature T ( deg.C) satisfying the formulas 1×10<-4> D+0.01<S<1+10<-4> D+0.10, and 0.12D+250<T<0.75D+500 [D is a size (d) of the polyester highly oriented undrawn yarn] to provide a yarn A. The yarn A is doubled with other polyester multifilament yarn B satisfying the following physical properties and subjected to an interlacing treatment to provide the objective polyester-based low crimped composite interlaced, yarn: single filament size: >=2 d; birefringenceΔn: 120×10<-3> to 180×10<-3> ; elongation at break: <=50%; shrinkage in boiling water: 2-10%.
