PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electronic zoom device by which the picture quality of a picture after zoom is improved regardless of enlargement or reduction without increasing a delay memory compared with a conventional manner. SOLUTION: A reading and writing controlling part 109 operates reading control corresponding to zoom magnification set by a magnification setting circuit 108 to a field memory 101, and a video signal S2 is read. A signal selecting circuit 104 obtains two way signal selection states according to the set zoom magnification. A filter arithmetic circuit 103 operates a filter arithmetic operation to an input signal, and outputs it to the signal selecting circuit 104. An interpolation arithmetic circuit 105 operates an interpolation arithmetic operation based on an interpolation coefficient generated by an interpolation coefficient generating circuit 107 according to the zoom magnification for an input from the signal selecting circuit 104. A video signal obtained after the interpolation arithmetic operation is written in a field memory 106, read as it is, and obtained as the output of this device. |
