PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a flow control valve by stabilizing the move of a valve element, improve assemblage performance, and shorten the whole length of the flow control valve to form the whole body compact. SOLUTION: A flow control valve 1 comprises a valve element 6, a shape memory alloy wire 7 which is elongated/contracted in accordance with temperature to drive the valve element 6, a restoration spring 8 to energize the wire 7 in an elongation direction, and a main body 2 to contain the parts 6, 7, 8. The wire 7 is disposed outside a passage 5, and both end parts 7a, 7a of the wire 7 wound around the valve element 6 are fixed to a terminal lock part 12 provided at a position other than the valve element 6. In actuation of the valve element 6, the wire disposed outside the passage 5 is directly fed, thereby setting a heating condition of the wire constant. |
