The invention relates to a method for producing laser-welded composite shaped parts according to which: a) at least two plastic shaped parts (A, B) are in contact with one another via at least one other shaped part (C). This shaped part (C) contains a material layer (C1), which transmits laser radiation, which is located on the side facing the direction of incidence of the laser radiation, and which is joined to or is in contact with a material layer (C2) that absorbs laser radiation, whereby the surface of the material layer (C2), in the respective overlapping areas with the plastic shaped parts (A, B), terminates in an essentially positive manner with the surface of these shaped parts. The invention also provides that: b) laser radiation passes through the transmitting layer (C1) and partially or completely strikes, at least in areas, the layer (C2), which absorbs laser radiation and which overlaps the shaped parts (A, B) that are to be joined; c) the distance between the layer (C2), which absorbs laser radiation, and the respective shaped part surface that overlaps the layer (C2) in an essentially positive manner is, in essence, constantly maintained or decreased during the irradiation with laser light, and the areas of the material layer (C2), which are softened or melted by the laser radiation, come into contact with the surface of the shaped parts (A, B) for a duration that is sufficient for softening or melting these surfaces, and; d) the melted or softened areas are permitted to cool. |
