The double ball-bearing consists of two bearings with outer and inner rings supporting a precision shaft and formed into a single bearing by having two adjacent rings (51, 52) held together at a predetermined pressure and welded. At least one edge of each of the welded rings is chamfered to form an annular groove (8), and the weld (9) is made along the bottom of the groove and does not project above it. The weld can be continuous or in sections and made by laser.
