PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which can suppress filming and result in a high-quality image. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing at least a charge generating agent, a hole transporting agent and a binder resin on a conductive substrate, wherein the hole transporting agent is a compound expressed by general formula (1). In formula (1), Ar<SP>1</SP>to Ar<SP>4</SP>are same or different groups and each represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group and at least one from among Ar<SP>1</SP>to Ar<SP>4</SP>is an aryl group having a silyl substituent or silylether substituent as a substituent.
