PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for a charger with which the life of a cleaning member can be prolonged and a cleaning effect stable for a long period of time can be obtained by preventing the breakage and deformation of the cleaning member with a small space and simple configuration. SOLUTION: A long hole 19 for moving the cleaning device 14 is formed at a bottom plate section 18 of a shielding case 10. The long hole 19 is formed to incline at a prescribed angle in a short side direction Y of the shielding case 10 being orthogonal with a direction X where a wire 13 for discharge is stretched. When the cleaning device 14 is moved back and forth along the long hole 19, cleaning pads 15a and 15b abutting on the wire 13 for discharge eventually move diagonally in the direction X where the wire 13 for discharge is stretched in the short side direction Y and therefore the abutting positions of the wire 13 for discharge and the cleaning pads 15a and 15b change.
