<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode capable of emitting light for a long period of time with high luminance, and to provide a display device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting diode includes an LED chip, fixed by a mount component on a substrate and a color-converting component, including a fluorescent material which absorbs at least part of emission from the LED chip and performs wave conversion to emit light.
