<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which has heat resistance, heat radiation, and sliding characteristics, especially a heat-resistant sliding resin composition which can be used for various sliding members, such as bearings, not abrading and wearing soft metals as counter materials especially in high temperature and high heat-generating environments. <P>SOLUTION: This heat-resistant sliding resin composition comprises a synthetic resin and gas phase method carbon fibers having a specific surface area of 10 to 50 m<SP>2</SP>/g, an average aspect ratio of 20 to 500, and an average fiber diameter of 50 to 200 nm, and has a large load heat-deformation temperature (ASTM D648) of ≥160°C, and a heat conductivity of ≥0.8 W/mK.
