<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter unit capable of allowing air of the sufficient volume to flow in and efficiently purifying air even when the filter unit is mounted in a narrow place such as the inside of a housing of a generator or the like using a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: A gas adsorption agent is filled between both walls of a cylindrical casing of a double pipe structure while a circumferential wall has permeable outer and inner walls. One end face is permeable or non-permeable and the other end face is integrally fixed to one end face of the cylindrical casing filled with a filtering material for dust removal. Air is allowed to flow in from at least a circumferential surface of the cylindrical casing of the double pipe structure. The distributing direction of the sucked air is changed to the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical casing filled with the filtering material for dust removal. Purified air is allowed to flow out from an end face on the side opposite to the end face to which the end face of the cylindrical casing of the double pipe structure of the cylindrical casing filled with the filtering material for dust removal is fixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
